 Center for Social Support for Minors with Cancer Lar Caminho da Luz is a non-governmental, humanized and non-profit organization, founded on October 19, 2000, CNPJ 04124485/0001-86 by a group of volunteers from the Goiás community, acts socially in response to the constitutional imperatives contained in article 227 of the Federal Constitution, and the Statute of Children and Adolescents "ECA" Law 8.069/90 in its Article 4°. Declared of Municipal Public Utility on December 10, 2004, published on December 14, 2004. From No. 3546, Law 8294, State Law No. 15,783, of August 30, 2006. Audience covered – children and adolescents with tumors malignant and benign. Number of beneficiaries – Beds for 25 accommodations and 30 beds per day (meals, projects developed within the institution, exams and consultations); total 55 minors their companions. It is maintained through donations and volunteer work of professionals and/or scholarship students who present their services in segments of society, Lar Caminho da Luz promotes actions aimed at reducing pain, constituting an extension of their families, coming from the interior of the state and other parts of Brazil and other countries.

Indoor

Lar Caminho da Luz provides assistance to 30 underage children with cancer and their guardians, deprived from the interior of the State and from other parts of Brazil and other countries, deprived who do not have any kind of financial or emotional resources, to start their treatment in our city, a benchmark in cancer treatment. Generally, these people seek the Entity by referral from the Hospitals, on their own initiative and/or for information from the users themselves.

External

Lar Caminho da Luz also provides external assistance to families previously assisted by the institution, who will take up residence in Goiânia, with distribution of food baskets, medicines, financial assistance for payment of rent, as well as social, psychological and legal assistance.

As a non-governmental, non-profit, Philanthropic Entity, it survives thanks to the help and support of those who collaborate with donations in various species.
